Low Pressure Ice dam Removal
Ice dams can be dangerous both for home owners and businesses. They can cause damage to shingles, gutters, soffit, and in extreme cases interior drywall and insulation, Also they pose a threat to break off and fall to the ground and cause personal injury if someone were to be standing beneath them.
Understanding how ice forms
Most ice dams are caused by a much greater problem than snow. When an attic is improperly insulated or vented the warm air will collect near the peak and melt the snow turning it into water wich runs downward toward your gutters. As the water approaches your roofs edge were the air is cooler it refreezes and forms an Ice dam. If nothing is done to remove the ice or prevent them in the first place this can cause alot of damage as you can see from the diagram on the left.
